When Spoonflower announced “Otherworldly Botanicals” as a design challenge theme, it felt like one of those “this is for me” moments. I did a lot of sketching but decided to use one kind of form, which looks like kelp or seaweed from a distant planet. My intuition served me well, as I ended up placing for the first time in a Spoonflower Design Challenge! I placed 8th out of 1,178 entries from amazing artists around the world. I really enjoyed working on this pattern, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
